18TH CENTURY MEN'S CAP MINI SEW ALONG

Men's Caps were an 18th century accessory owned by men of all socioeconomic levels. Used to protect the hair, it was worn in work and leisure. Our cap is a simple one which is easy to construct even for a beginner. Use it for your 18th century persona or have fun and wear it for modern wear!



  • Fabric: 1/2 yard of plain linen, light or medium weight.
  • Needles: Size 10 sharps are perfect for this type of sewing
  • Thread:  linen thread to match your fabric. We suggest 60/3 or 80/3.
  • Wax
  • Scissors
  • Thimble
  • Ribbon:  1 yd. of 1/2" wide.
