Originating in India and the Middle East,  introduced to Europe as early as the 17th century, muslin was described as delicately woven cotton fabric. Muslin shows up in various accounts through out the 18th century 19th century. It was manufactured in various qualities in plain weave as well as stripes, figures and checks.

  • Our muslin is made of fine yarn and semi-sheer. 
  • Its delicate stripe is well suited to Lady's summer gowns, jackets & petticoats as well as fine accessories such as caps & aprons.  It can also be used for Men's summer waistcoats & children's clothing.
