$15.00

Serge was a twilled cloth with a worsted warp and woolen weft. It was of lighter and of better quality then kersey. Many kinds and qualities were woven and used for a variety of end purposes. We studied a coarse "sarge" in the Foundling collection which was used as a baby blanket as well as finer Norwich serges made for men's suiting. This serge has a hard hand much like the originals we studied making it a hardy and durable fabric.

  • This medium weight serge would be suitable for men's coats, breeches, waistcoats, jackets, women's riding habits, pelisses and children's clothing.
  • 100% Wool 60  inches wide.
