Fine Sheer Cotton Muslin "Mull"- $14.00 yd.
Originating in India and introduced to Europe as early as the 17th century, mulmul was described as “delicately woven cotton fabric”. Used throughout the 18th century it grew in popularity towards the end of the century and on into the 19th century. Muslin was considered highly desirable for its lightness, and ease of cleaning. This exceptionally sheer muslin is literally transparent. The weave is identical to fine muslins we have studied in extant clothing.
