Plush, such as this Olive Drab Wool Plush, was a soft-faced wool, much like velvet, dyed in all manner of colors, and was a popular choice for breeches, waistcoats and winter jackets. Worn by all social classes, it is documented in tailors account books, self-liberated ads, and in orders for livery, with reds, buffs, and blues appearing most frequently. Plushes, by other names, could be found in later period garments, especially in outerwear.
- This Olive Drab Wool Plush is considered a lightweight coating.
- It is heavy enough for outerwear with linings but soft enough for winter breeches, winter mitts, jackets, pelisses, and winter waistcoats. Also works well for outer garments of other eras..
- This Olive Drab Wool Plush is 100% Wool, 58 inches wide.
