Fashions Revisited 18th Century Men's Caps

( / )

Caps such as these were worn by men of all classes in the 18th century.  You find them worn in the home, at leisure and at work when a wig is not being worn.  They could be made of simple linen or finer fabrics such as silk.  They were made plain as well as being  embellished with embroidery.
