Sarah Pitt advertises in the Virginia Gazette in October of 1768 that she offers for sale "a great assortment of threads".  Preceding cotton thread, linen thread was used on linen as well as wools and blends.  It came in a variety of weights to suit the project.

  • This 100/3 - Linen Thread is very fine, making it perfect for lightweight linens and finer sewing.
  • These small spools of 100/3 - Linen Thread are perfect for single projects, with 50 meters/164 feet
