Dark Grey Wool "Medley Cloth"
"Medley Cloth", such as this Dark Grey Wool "Medley Cloth", referred to a woolen cloth made with fleece-dyed yarns of mixed colors. These lightweight goods were characterized by their tightly twisted yarn, fineness of weave, and smooth finish. Also known as Spanish cloth in the 1630s & 1640s because of the admixture of Spanish wool. It was considered well made, lighter weight than other cloths, and very fine.
