Taupe Cotton Lawn
Lawn was a delicate fabric originally made in linen and later in cotton, used for shirts, handkerchiefs, ruffles, aprons and caps. "Lawn closely resembles cambric but is thinner and finer" (Textiles in America by Montgomery pp 275).
