Blue, Grey, & Rust Glen Check Wool

This plaid pattern might well be called the "Prince of Wales Check" or "Glen Check". A Scottish pattern first popularized by the Countess of Seafield in the 19th century, it was discovered by King Edward the 7th on a hunting trip and made popular by his son Edward the 8th. Thus, the nickname Prince of Wales check. Popular for men's suiting it also found its way into lady’s wear and remains popular to this day.
