These simple but elegant breeches buckles are a direct reproduction from a pair in our collection. The shape and size of these buckles was found from the 1740s into the early 90s. A pair quite similar in the

Our original appears to be iron finished in silver. We are offering this reproduction in brass-- another common finish--with a steel pin, chape and tongue. Measuring overall 1 5/8 inch x 1 1/8 inch, with an interior measure of 1 3/8 inch, the buckles will easily accommodate a 1 inch or slightly larger knee breeches band.
