Silk twist was used for a variety of finishing needs. It was used for buttonholes on silk and wool and for thread buttons.

Our silk twist is 1000 Denier and comes on a 20 meter card. We have closely matched these custom dyed threads to our sewing thread.

If you would like to try your hand at thread buttons you can buy our wood molds. Plan on the following amounts of thread per button size:
5/8 inch mold – 7 feet *
3/4 inch mold – 10 feet *
1 inch mold – 16 feet *
1 1/8 inch mold – 19 feet
