18th Century Stays

1/8 inch Linen Stay Cord

This cording is matched to an original linen stay cord that we studied.  It was left as a token for a Foundling in 1760 and had been dyed red. It measured 2 yards in length and still retained it's metal aglet for lacing!  Stays rarely survive with their original lacing, which makes this even more exciting!

  • Our cord is an undyed & unbleached natural color.
  • Sold by the Yard only.
  • Pairs well with our 18th Century Aglet.
