In our research we have found a number of examples of "Paduasoy" ribbon in the 18th and early 19th century. Lightly ribbed it was a sturdy ribbon that worked well for decorative purposes such as caps and trims, but was also sturdy enough to be used as binding and for shoe ties. Originally made of silk it later was made of cotton and rayon. Our ribbon is an excellent time traveler working for a variety of time periods.
- This ribbon is 100% rayon; a natural fiber that closely resembles silk. It is almost identical in appearance to the originals we have studied.
- Available in: 1/2 inch and 1 inch widths.
