The bedgown was a simple T shaped garment worn throught out the 18th century as a loose fitting garment for work or undress at home. Our bedgown pattern is inspired by extant bedgowns in the collections of Wintertur Museum, Platt Hall & Colonial Williamsburg as well as genre prints & paintings of the 18th century.
